We know you’re one of a kind, and so are our wedding invitations! Every single wedding Bella Figura letterpress (or foil stamp!) invitation is unique. We love when couples customise to make their favourite design their own.

Here’s a few tips on how you can customise our invitation designs. And here’s some good news: because our wedding invitations are easily customisable, we can work with all sorts of budgets. If you’re on a budget, we can help! We have all sorts of creative ways to keep cost down...

Envelopes

Envelope design tip: Coloured Envelopes - we have some great coloured envelopes (think silver, gold, silver, blue!) there is no extra cost for this customisation!

Envelope design tip: Envelope Lineres - Add a patterned or metallic envelope liner in your choice of colour(s).

Envelope design tip: Printed Envelopes - You can add design details, like type monograms or illustrations from your invitations, to your envelope flaps or your envelope fronts!

Pocketfolds

You can add one of our pocketfolds to any of our wedding invitations to create a memorable enclosure and add some modern color. We now offer letterpress printing on our pocketfolds too! Our pocketfolds are smartly self-closing with a flap, requiring no labels, adhesive, or ribbon, and they’re available in rectangular and square sizes. Your invitation is fixed onto the pocketfold before supplying them to you. Please note there is an additional charge for this customisation.

Pocketfold design tip: Letterpress printing on our pocketfolds is a great way to make your pocketfold invitation unique. On the exterior of your pocketfold, we can letterpress print the bride and groom’s names, the date of your wedding, a monogram, or simple bring in design elements from your wedding invitation.

Pocketfold design tip: We offer free design consultations after you place your order, where you’ll have a chance to talk to our designers about your options. So if you’re not sure what pocketfold color to use for your invitation design, or what exactly to letterpress on your pocketfold, no worries! (and if you need help now, just ask!).

Corner Rounding

Rounding the corners of your letterpress wedding invitation or any accessory piece creates a beautifully polished and unique look!

Edge Painting

Edge painting has a rich history in letterpress—for centuries, master bookbinders gilded the edges of books with gold, to show a preciousness. So now this modern spin: choose to have the outside edges of your cotton paper invites handpainted to highlight an existing colour in your letterpress invitations or to introduce an entirely new colour. Edge in any letterpress ink color we offer, plus metallic gold, metallic silver, and metallic bronze. There is an additional charge for this customisation.

Edge Painting design tip: Edge Painting v Foil Edging - We do offer edge painting in metallic gold, metallic silver, and metallic bronze. This edge painting has a little gleam to it, but it’s still somewhat subdued and rather matte. If you are looking for something more dramatic, with a shiny metallic gleam to it, consider foil edging. Keep in mind that foil edging is more expensive than edge painting.

Edge Painting design tip: Edge painting is most visible in medium to dark colors. You’ll see your edge painting better on our 2-ply thicker paper versus our 1-ply paper..

Custom Designed Invites
If you are hoping to go the extra mile and really impress you wedding guests, couture letterpress wedding invitations could be what you’re looking for. Pretty as a Picture studio provide beautiful, bespoke letterpress invitations for your wedding that will express your individual taste and style like no other. Our invites come in 3 different sizes...

Large (F8) - 158mm x 213mm

Medium (A7) - 133mm x 184mm

Square (SQ7) - 170mm x 170mm

Tea (10) - 170mm x 170mmv

Pricing is the same for all of these sizes, however if your budget doesn't stretch this far you can choose from our save the date sizing which is smaller again.

Smaller invite size (A6) - 159mm x 118mm

Smaller square invite (SQ6) - 120mm x 120mm

Go ahead and change the ink colour on your design if you’d like. There is no cost for this customization. Custom inks are also available for an additional charge. (Please note that onscreen colour varies depending on your screen settings)

Order Process
Below, please find a step by step guide to ordering your invitations from Pretty as a Picture.

Step 1: Choose a design and order a sample if you wish.

Step 2: Choose the custom details of your invite and order online or over the phone.

Step 3: We design your invitation and send you a proof.

Step 4: Approve your proof. Your order will be sent out to you in 15 business days, depending on the service requested (excludes delivery transit time)

Step 5: Delivery.

To order a sample, just click the "add to cart" button below. Your sample wedding invitation set will consist of your requested invitation design, a reply card, an outer envelope, and a reply card envelope, printed in a standard ink color. Most sample orders are processed within 2–3 business days. If you are in a rush, please contact us so that we can prioritise your order. The cost of samples is credited to your wedding invitation order with Pretty as a Picture if you decide to order from us.

If you’re in the Wicklow or Dublin area, come and visit us in our studio and we will show you our albums and go through all the available options with you. We can show you the various font, colour and other options available and go through the customisation process with you in detail.

Upon placing your order with us, we require a 50% deposit and will send you a proof in 3-5 working days. Once you have approved the design and checked all spellings etc are ok the balance of payment must be paid via paypal, cheque or cash. Your finished invitations will then be ready in 4 weeks.

You can pick up your invitations at our studio or we can delivery them to you.
Delivery within Ireland is €15
