First Steps
The design process begins with a complimentary consultation. This can happen in person, over the phone, or via email. This is your chance to tell us what you have in mind for the piece. Feel free to express your creativity, share details about the occasion, your favorite colors or any other ideas you have. If you don’t have any ideas, don’t worry! WE ARE ON HAND TO HELP WITH THE BRAINSTORMING. We will come up with SOMETHING you WILL love.
We’re happy to show you PAST PROJECTS and share any recommendations with you. Once you’re confident that we understand your ideas, we will present you with an estimate of costs. This usually takes about one week to prepare, depending on the specifics.
Next Steps
If you are happy to progress with order, we’ll review details for your piece, SUCH AS SIZE, MATERIAL AND DETAILS . Design begins once you we have received 50% deposit for custom artwork.
Design Begins
Now we’ll develop original design concepts or sketches for your occasion. At this point, we’ll need some photos of you and any specific scenery you’d like included. Once you see the initial sketch we are happy to hear your suggestions regarding accuracy, composition, color and layout. Many people choose to give a few stipulations (such as subject matter and color schemes) and tell us to run with the ideas. Major revisions, such as the re-drawing of a piece will likely send us into overtime and require an additional fee. Don’t worry though – this rarely happens. Most issues are resolved in the sketch phase.
Start the Presses!
After receiving your approval, we’ll begin the final illustration or painting. Turnaround time from start to finish will depend on the complexity of the piece as every commission is unique! We would need a minimum of 4 weeks to complete your illustration though this time may easily be extended depending on the specifications.And that’s it! Every single detail of the process.
