Happy Friendship Day; Special Offer

I have just read that tomorrow is international friendship day!  Friendship Day is all about celebrating your friends and showing them how special they are to you. Admittedly I didn’t even know there was a friendship day until now but I’m loving it already. So to help you celebrate I have decided to do something a little different for today’s post and have handpicked a selection of cards to make up a special offer card set.  These Woodland Fairy cards are from our illustrated collection “Woodland Fairies”, there are four different ornate fairy designs- perfect for all your friends on friendship day.

Greetings Cards have always been a popular way of expressing ones feelings and gratitude, personally I have always loved giving and receiving cards, so why not write your friends a nice card telling them just how much you appreciate their friendship. The cards are blank inside so there is room to really pour your heart out :) Happy Friendship Day!

My Engagement – Extra wedding details

Lately I’ve been seeing a growing trend with Irish weddings where a lot of extra details and effort has gone into the decorating of their venue. It had me wondering how I might decorate the interior of my Castle Wedding.
The weddings that stand out to me are the ones where the bride and groom have injected a little bit of their personality into their day. At the moment I’m loving unique ways of displaying table flowers as well as sweet and simple table decorations. I’ve been inspired by a lot of diy projects that are available out there and recently have been checking out second hand goods at car-boot sales for all those quirky vases and picture frames.

Table details

How pretty are these little glitter placenames?! and an illustrated menu is right up my street, don’t be surprised if that pops up somewhere on my tables.. The whole table just looks so decadent and Parisian french, I wouldn’t want my guests to touch anything!!

I love these Fruit and veg crates on a table, who would have thought! but the textural combination of rough wooden boxes with soft peaches and petals adds real character to your standard table setting.
I’m not sure what to do yet but I think I’m going to steer clear of using your standard black on white table numbers. Of course with my love of paper and art I’m biased but I think the floral art nouveau style table numbers below are gorgeous, such a lovely touch if kept with muted colours or to tie in with a theme. The botanical illustration table number is a similar idea too, really liking the vintage appearance they have.
I’m not sure where I would find those old tins that hold the flowers but I was drawn to them because of the turquoises and golds, if anyone has ideas let me know! I think they would brighten up tables and mantlepieces.

Below is a table used to display a wedding cake or cupcakes, I might find an old table like this second hand online or at a car boot sale. My Fiance can be in charge of painting it…
That little sign coming out of the trumpet is so cute! although not much point if the head table is facing a wall, which I think mine is…BUT I might invent another use for it!

Below are a collection of images I thought were really inspiring, a couple of which would be easy to do myself. I think that cut out place name holder could be applied to anything, even a flower. Check out how to make these yourself via the link below. The same goes for the other images too like the music sheet, that could be more related to my wedding theme but it’s more the idea of adding a splash of colour to under plain white plates. I think we can agree that all girls like candles at their wedding to add a bit of atmosphere, so here is someone who went all out!

Chasseral Invitation – Black & Pool

We recently had the pleasure of working on a customisation of the Chasseral Design by Smock for Caitríona & Enda’s summer wedding in Clontarf Castle. Their colour theme was pool blue and their suite included Invitations, RSVP’s and Menus.

Chasseral Customisation – Pool & Black

This suite is printed in 2 colour inks – Pool and Black onto luxury thick white bamboo paper. These invitation suites were complete with matching letterpress printed invitation envelopes. The fonts used here were Tally + Graham. Corner rounding was also added to the main invitation.

We can customise any of the wedding stationery designs on our website to tie-in with your wedding theme. Working closely with you, we will customise your chosen stationery design or create a design specifically for you, so you make the perfect introduction to your big day!

We were so excited to find these pretty wedding dress travel boxes , a beautiful and romantic solution for transporting your dress safely. We have always loved hearing the wedding stories, but with destination weddings being such a popular trend for 2011, we have had so many of our brides tell us that they didn’t think about transporting the dress until the last minute when they find themselves in quite the predicament!

Antique Pink Wedding Dress Travel Box- Your gown never has to leave your side

You’ve picked the perfect dress making it a major focus of your pre wedding planning  and it is the most important and perhaps the most expensive item of clothing you’ve ever bought, so needless to say, whether your travelling across the globe or just to the next county, you want your dress to make it safely! There are a few solutions for transporting your dress but most brides like to keep their dress with them  at all times to ensure it is safe and stays with them. Our wedding dress travel boxes are the perfect solution when traveling by car, ship or plane!

These pretty antique pink or gold essence wedding dress travel boxes, with cord handle to hold the lid in place as you carry, have been made to fit within the hand luggage dimensions requested by major airlines, so that you can keep your dress with you at all times- ensuring total peace of mind on your special wedding journey.

Made from unique specially milled ph neutral board the sturdy box will protect your dress while traveling by sealing it off from harmful environmental effects.  The acid free tissue wrapping and the ph neutral materials ensure your dress is protected from any accidents, spillages or changes in humidity,  all ensuring the dress stays perfect.

After all attention having been on getting the dress to the wedding you may have forgotten to consider what will happen to the dress after the big day, but the wedding dress box can also be used to store your dress after the wedding, properly protecting your dress from  yellowing / discolouring for a lifetime!

We also have a miniature wedding dress box perfect for preserving souvenirs of your wedding such as invitations, reply cards, thank you cards, photographs, confetti, the veil-all memories of your special day!

Friday Fancies; Celebrity Baby Presents

Posh finally has a daughter!  Victoria and David Beckham welcomed their baby Harper Seven in to the world on July 10th,  and the gifts have not stopped coming, the Beckham’s LA home is reportedly filled with baby gifts from their celebrity friends . We would so love to have a peek into that nursery! OK that will never happen but we do have some pictures of the cute and very lavish baby gifts that Harper received- oh to be rich and famous

Harper received this celebrity must have Dior Soother from Nicole Richie!

Prince William and his wife Kate honoured the Beckham’s new arrival with a silver Tiffany teething ring while Heidi Klum sent a pink stuffed puppy like this one and this four foot tall plush giraffe has been waiting in the nursery for Harper Seven to arrive as Victoria received it at her baby shower.

This bugaboo stroller was a gift to Victoria from her hair stylist.

Cheryl Cole has splashed out on some cashmere blankets for baby Beckham and J-LO must know how much Posh loves her designer fashion as she has sent a range of Baby Dior Clothes like these.
